Christmas Poem 2005

My Jesus, my savior
so blessed and small.
You came to redeem us
not one, but us all.

The Christmas we celebrate
is small and unfit,
To do justice to your blessings
to bear witness to your gift.

The prophets foretold
of your great sacrifice,
You'd join us on earth
and experience human life

And although earth is tainted,
you managed to share
A life full of giving
Of loving and care.

No human could capture
this type of living,
your perfect example
your awesome forgiving.

The gift of your presence
can n'er be exceeded.
Your birthday is more than
a day to be treated.

We must always remember
the day our Lord came
the babe in the manger
Praise your blessed Name.
