Turning
His Face Toward Jerusalem – In Luke, Jesus is described as
“making his way" to Jerusalem. (Lk. 13:22). During
Holy Week we will journey with Jesus as he heads toward Jerusalem
to be crucified and resurrected. The phrase 'making his way'
has also been translated 'turned his face.' This is the
point in the Gospels when Jesus' passion draws near and Jesus
dedicated himself fully to that path. This is a "no
turning back" moment.
